The Dwarves kicked my ass.

Blag is so great. He was so honestly little-kid-excited that everyone in the room tonight knew the lyrics to all of their songs that all he could say inbetween each one was: "yeah, fuck yeah!" His excitement started, early on, when, at the end of "Everybody's Girl" he put the microphone into the audience and a girl up front sang the sampled voice part exactly as it sounded in the studio recording. It was beautiful.

Although I would rank them after Stiff Little Fingers, Anti-Nowhere League and Misfits I have loved The Dwarves for more than ten years and the first punk record I ever bought was Blood, Guts & Pussy. They have written more of my favorite songs than any other band on the planet. Which is cool, because no matter what songs they played, chances are, the set list was compromised of 80% of my favorite material. Tonight we heard:

Awesome show. Great pit. Respectful people, good opening bands (The Turbo AC's were great) -- great night.
