RIP Hunter S. Thompson. As soon as I heard the news I sort of knew he did it on purpose. That man is no coward and never was.
I haven't been around. I've been painting like a muthafucka. Every single day. Plus, I'm not working and I'm poor as fuck, so most time on the computer is spent looking for part-time install jobs.
Two people called me regarding murals. Finally. I've been putting my biz cards here and there, and looks like it's working. The murals I do finance my fine art which would never make it on some soccer mom's living room wall. And they are fun to do. Sure beats making charicatures at the mall like some assholes hurry to suggest.
Matt and I entered an art show yesterday. Dropped the slides off for his photos and my latest paintings at the center. The single judge is some dude with a gallery in Miami. We went once and all the art in there was somewhere between conceptual and representational. So we stand a chance of maybe...just maybe...getting in the show. One of my paintings is called Back Alley Nurse...a 20's style nurse smiling while holding a coat hanger...so let's just hope they don't mind some sweet social criticism with their Norman Rockwell cereal.

I like your art. For a long time all I wanted to do was art and so far it's my major in college. But I don't think it'll provide. 
Sad to think, but maybe I can just combine it w/ other things. Perhaps teaching??? Ah, well It'll always be my hobby.
