I have been pretty inactive lately but I'm here to promise I'll be getting much better. I went on a trip to my grand birthplace of Las Vegas to visit my ailing father. It was good to get away for awhile. Please don't give condolences on my fathers ill health, they are not needed. He's been ill for years and I've come to terms with it.
So on to the fun stuff...
This weekend should be awesome. I'm going to Opus with several of my friends. I've reserved a hotel room and plan to party the weekend away. If you want to know just how far my geekiness extends go here I hope to take plenty of pictures so I should have a rather long journal entry when I return
Next weekend, Sunday, I am going to the Denver Dark Arts Festival. Goth bands, bondage displays, art and fashion galore! It only lasts one day and I get to travel to and from on a bus so no drinking for me. I've been oficially asked by a group I'm in to take pictures so ther should be plenty more yet again. Since it's a holiday weekend I will find more to do! I refuse to be busy only one day of the weekend.
I got back from Vegas yesterday. I didn't do any gambling because when you're born and raised there it's just not as entertaining. I caught up on my Cirque du Soleil shows. I have now seen 7 of their live shows. I visited my father and one of my two brothers and we mostly just stayed around the house. All of my old friends have either moved or moved on and I couldn't find any of them. If I really think about it, it's for the best.
I also, amazingly considering my absence, still have my job. That's what I will be doing the week between my fun weekends.

I want to go to a dark arts festival, that sounds like a lot of fun!
This weekend is my hubbys berfday. I think we are going bowling, and possibly to the driving range. Should be fun...even though it's what we did on MY birthday in April. LOL> We had such a good time then, that my hubby wants to do it again.
