Hi guys!
Oh man it's been a while since the last time I wrote a proper blog, so long that things have really changed around here. I'm still alive, still here, though usually pretty quiet. What inspired me to write a new blog? Last weeks SG homework (I know, I'm a little late, but that's how I roll) @rambo @missy and @lyxzen asked us to write about our favorite game 😃 And if you know me, then you know how much I love games! I don't need to think twice, Socom is by far my favorite!
Socom is a third person tactical shooter military based game for play station. I played a little on Socom 2, back when the Internet was dial up. Then after playing Socom 3, I joined my first clan and I was hooked on games forever. I continued playing Combined Assault, Confrontation, and Socom 4, but sadly the Socom days are over, as they took the servers down.
BUT my hope has been restored for the ps4 (a PC version is coming out first, lucky ducks)! One of the creative directors for Socom has joined forces with SOF studios, and they're currently working on H-Hour: World's Elite, where gameplay will be a lot like that from the original Socom series. The initial development for the game was funded by money raised on kickstarter. Just goes to show how many dedicated, passionate Socom players are out there. And the H-Hour crew has been listening to a lot of input from their fan base, which I found to be pretty cool.
Words can not express how excited I am, my ps4 controller will get a lot more game play as soon as H-Hour is released. My psn is boomballaty if you ever wanna play!
