"if it's easy, then you're doing it right", some of the best advice i've ever received, given to me by one of my art professors. i've now realized, that goes for anything in life, especially relationships. i spent a year chasing after the person i thought was perfect for me, putting up with so much bullshit, only to realize he was far from it. sure, there was a spark, and together we made things interesting, but it shouldn't be a struggle. i've since found someone who i love, and loves me, and there is no greater feeling..... and i'm now married to that person. it happened quite sudden, and was not your typical wedding/marriage process. being a wife was nothing i ever wanted in life, being tied down just seemed silly. i'm actually really happy, and feel at peace. you always hear people talking about marriage in a negative way, and when i get asked, "how's married life?" all i can do is laugh, because secretly i want to tell them it's so great, we broke our box spring
i've also just recently took the assistant manager position at my job. i think it's going to be a small pay cut, because i made great money serving on the floor. but i'm doing it for the experience, plus i'll finally learn how to bartend. so a little less money, a lot more knowledge. works for now.
so all in all, things are much better than they've ever been. in less than 4 months, i'll be 30. and for the first time, that doesn't seem too bad, because i'm pretty sure life just keeps getting better
