She weeps,
curled up in a ball, in the corner
no one understands
no one cares
only girls hurt like this
do boys bleed too?
Tides rise,
fall
by the light
of the silvery, silvery moon
anything capable of such movement
makes sense that it messes with the senses
too,
two.
Icarus did fly
did soar
did lose sight and fell,
drowned without a feather intact,
yet, for sure, he did fly.
Just think...
it could've been like this:
'Icarus' flight to the moon
gave light to others' moons,
silhouette of his outspread feathers
caused the girls,
and boys,
to swoon.'
An illusion to some,
delusion to others,
those only willing to fly
in the heat of the day's star
soar to the day's light
here they find illumination:
feathers of wax melt,
whether you're a girl or boy.
Damn,
what a heavenly flight.
The girl in the corner,
just might be,
a boy.

let's be honest:
everyone has a penis,

(some are aroused there too).
if we're in touch

we're in touch with our masculine side.
i'm glad not to know
that 'time of the month'
but, damn,
i have nothing to blame it on,
only that on some days
i'm a bastard, of sorts.
