'Wrinkle in Time' t r gates, in memory of Madeleine L'Engle +Blessed Repose 09/06/2007
earths have come,
and gone
moons, earths have many,
others down to one or a non-reflective one
time and space,
relative to quantum leaps,
atomic wonders,
best told by poetry
or children or young peoples' stories;
L'Engle
Sang her songs,
One by one, line by line,
Fantasy from and of the young,
Those who have no need to prove something,
Truth found in the living,
The being,
The freeing,
The flying through time and space,
Metaphysical was the real for her
Why those who don't get it call it
Surreal.
She'd smile when a child told her 'the meaning,'
Herein her intuition was affirmed;
'A Wrinkle in Time'
and so it is.
Note: For me, it has been my Grandfather, his repose now thirty-years past, and my children as well as others' children that open up the possibility of faith, hope, love, the truth of Beauty in the darkest of storms. By myself I do not get it. With them I get it even if it is only through poetry and painting that I scratch what they merely have. Somehow, at least I'd like to believe, it is here that what is called reality, but most disclaim as fantasy, life at it fullest and most loveliest is lived. At least my Grandfather, my children and others' children seem to inform my intuition of this.
