hey there, the war's going' on,
still
never stopped,
only different places, different times, all times
'wars and rumors of wars,'
no prophecy, no intuition, no apocalypse
'why..' because we bite and devour each other;
the war goes on,
we the people
pay for it,
play with it,
perpetuate it,
how? By paying for it,
by not voting the bastards and bitches out on their asses,
by buying their lie,
'you can't make a difference.'
our people and our species,
we watch it on TV,
read about it in newspapers, magazines and ezines
give money to the different sides
who support it or oppose it
(both profiteering from it).
we buy their shit,
just war and all,
'you're either with us or against us.'
why is it evil to refuse to kill,
but a good cause to support killing?
suicide's immoral,
but Hiroshima was necessary,
or the Rape of Nanking (China), the bombing of Kosovo,
the killing of Jews by Palestinians as well as the reverse,
internment camps by them, and us
all necessary we were and are told.
the war goes on.
maybe we're acting out our creaturely purpose,
like the great Deluge,
killing everyone that didn't agree with Him,
justice it is called.
maybe it's about time to say,
'no, I will not be part of your divine justice,
I will not be part of your impertinence,
I will not be part of your self-indulgence.'
or,
keep the bastards and bitches in office
because we don't truly give a fuck.
