sense is place...
Body: cool is cool
better than good is better than good
good is gooder than good
sense of place is better than place or sense
When we come to say, 'I AM,' then we know the incomprehensibility of it all.
Here is a sum of the Four Noble Truths, an excellent expression of them, not comprehensive, rather only a sketch. In between each step are comparative words from another tradition, marked by +. Below these are the Nobel Eightfold Path, found in the Four Noble Path. Below this is a YouTube of Thich Nhat Hanh, a Zen Master and most excellent writer, speaking of Peace in the most prfound way, yes, in my never humble opinion. He speaks concerning these things in the context of Viet Nam. I am not a Buddhist or a Zen Buddhist. I am perhaps a believer-nonbeliever, a skeptic-romantic, seer-looking, observer-person of hope. Who is my neighbor? This is the ancient question. My neighbor is myself. From here we have a potential for peace that could be free from within, extended to the next neighbor starting to themselves. No conclusions here, for me, only suggestions of ways to help discover mindfulness and peace, first to oneself. It has been said that we are truly free to share not what know about, rather what we know.
process of the 4-noble truths:
>Suffering: Birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering; union with what is displeasing is suffering; separation from what is pleasing is suffering; not to get what one wants is suffering; in brief, the five aggregates subject to clinging are suffering.
+'don't be put off by trials; they are only those which are common to all.'
>The origin of suffering: The craving which leads to renewed existence (reincarnation).
+'lord, if it be possible, please let this cup, i.e., of death, pass from me; nevertheless, your desire is mine.'
>The cessation of suffering: The cessation of craving.
+'in all things i give thanks; i have learned to be contend within whatever place i find myself; whether full or empty, to be content.'
>The way leading to the cessation of suffering: The Noble Eightfold Path,
+'love produces faith, faith produces hope, hope produces persevering; this present suffering is but a twinkle compared with what comes thereafter.'
Nobel Eightfold Path:
Right View,
Right Resolve,
Right Speech,
Right Action,
Right Livelihood,
Right Effort,
Right Mindfulness,
Right Concentration.
+'Where your treasure is there also is your heart; out of the overflowing of the heart the mouth speaks; be still and know that I-AM; i give you peace;not as this world's system gives, but instead as i give it; therefore do not fear; know and be comforted.'
-M Gandhi, in his booklet on Pacifism or Non-violence, in paraphrase says that it is of no great courage or act of strength for a person who is unable to cause physical harm to choose to what they are able to do in the first place, i.e., be pacifists. One who is able to, like those trained to kill in behalf of this or that religious or non-religious concern, such a one who chooses to lay down their killing weapon are people of courage and strenght of person.
than the man who would conquer
a thousand-thousand men,
is he who would conquer
just one--
himself.

One's Being is known via inter-Being, to all, with all, in all and in bahalf of all. Another has said, 'No one is able to be saved for another; no is able to be saved alone; no one is alone; no one is another.' Love is known by relation. Otherwise love is merely a concept used in to manipulate followers for the doing of war or peace, yet both for the sake of doing business. Better, in my never humble opinion, for the sake of all. 'For the life of kosmos.'
peace, love, togetherness
'If there is to be any peace it will come through being not having.' + Henry Miller 'Wars are poor chisels for carving out peaceful tomorrows.' + Martin Luther King Jr. 'The search for Truth is the search for God.' + Gandhi
