'purple' timothy r gates, 11/03/2006

draped,
not hung,
or hanging,
plum shear overlay
royalty's purple underneath,
just sufficiently snug,
she calls no attention to herself,
all turn their heads,
a son learns from her spoken silence,
suffering does make a difference,
timeless,
a moment passes,
we only know the moment,
all else is interpretation;
- now is as well -
feminine, masculine
divine, human

'note the guitar' timothy r gates, 07/13/2006

fits into your middle
or, between your legs
if played patiently,
persistently,
aggressively, but intuitively
curves like a girl,
unless you want her to be a boy,
she'll comply
or, you'll comply
if you suck at playing, you better learn
it'll show you for what you are
or, if you don't know who you are
you'll be fucked
but not in a good way,
the way that makes the word make sense
note the guitar
and the guitar will note you
ignore the guitar
and the guitar will not respond
you will suck
again, not in a good way
you'll most likely blame the guitar
but you'll be the ass
hold the curves into your frame tight,
play with maturation's knowing,
let someone who thinks they know how to play
play power chords,
my guitar 'gently weeps', at times
she also makes me cum
my guitar is never the blame
for what I'm too damn lazy to know
I note my guitar
Damn, I love her frets

This MSN new report re voting and our 'luck' in our nation for this process is, I believe, a worthwhile brief article for good food for thought, whatever that be.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/15530569/site/newsweek/

Yes, this was worthwhile to read. More sad, I believe, is that the general electoral public citizen has come to believe that their, our, vote counts for nothing. Because of this, if this continues,...

Mid-term local and federal elections are basically completed. Too bad that in a country where it is a freedom to vote that we're not able to have a mere fifty percent of 'our' people do so. People say that it doesn't change anything. This is why it often doesn't. 'Representative Democracy' is what our government claims to be, this is the definition of a Democratic Republic. Yet, and this is the sad situation in our nation, if the potential voting population doesn't become responsible with the freedom to vote we will in time be guaranteed to lose it. The old proverb, 'If you don't use it you lose it.' I am a liberal, not a political liberal, rather a person who in truth, I believe, affirms all of our people, relative to our own situation in this comment, should have the constitutional protected right to be wrong, to embrace lunacy, to be quantifiably blown away, even medically, crazy, and to express it as long as they do not violate another's. In truth since the Patriot Act (sic) and the courts, all the way to the Supreme Court, reinterpreting the Constitution and its amendments, we have lost many of our protections by this same constitution. This is true for both those finding themselves on the left or the right of what is 'accepted' political expression of beliefs. We are only free, 'free-men/women/persons', if we choose to act out as free. For me, I want the conservatives that I disagree with to be in truth free to publicly speak wherever, this is how they and their opinions are shown for what they are. I still pray that the ideal of our founding land-stealers and then land-owners to grow into the hearts and souls of all our citizens. I still pray that the 'all' in our Preamble and the 'all' in our Constitution and its amendments will one day in truth include all.
just a few, but not all, post election thoughts,
one without few words,
timothy

What a wonderful little piece of writing you left on my journal, thank you. I agree with what you say about voting, I think its disgraceful that people dont think their right to vote is precious, everything has some effect.

"gothic amish?" (trg, 3-14-2001)

buggy pulls up,
uniquely attired folks
step out
for a night of poetry readings
shared with
a local mystic of sorts
and myst's Lady;
all seems normal, whatever
that is, until someone
notices a lone tattoo
not meant to be found
under the dame's black stockings --
this is what happens when
you forget to check for holes --
the rather...

'Lavender' (trg, 11/14/03)

Have you ever longed

for the smell, ever so slightly of lavender,

being caught in your nose's breath

as you lay upon a bead of velvet

sprinkled with red and deep purple roses,

the odor of sweet apples and large almost black grapes

fall down over your hands and their middle?

I have.

'Sea Air' (trg, 11/14/03)

You looked up and then later down,

thinking that you smelled the ocean's waves,

touching, releasing and doing so again,

bringing a different blend of aromas

never to be mistaken for another,

apples with a sweetened bitter taste

calling me to the red and deep purple roses,

asking me if I'm too full?

Never of this air.
