Deep breath...
Thoughts of the Body Flex video... which is hands down the most ridiculous thing ever distributed. Dave put it best, "This is the end of innocence."
Had I been on top of this journal I could have sung "The boys are back in town" reffering to an immense gathering of the snowboard industry's best rail rockers and media personnel in Portland the later half of this week to engage in RedBull's 20thou$ contest / spectacle in Pioneer Square. It was fun catching up with old friends, but the "bro fest" was also too much to handle at most of the social gatherings. The girls had great ratios, but that amount of sausage marinated in RedBull & alcohol can be a bit frightening.
So... the event was wet... very wet, and cold. I stood within a 3 ft sguare for 5 hours getting pissed on without the right weather gear cuz I didn't see it coming, and I didn't want to lose my shot. The riding was amazing with a lot of surprises and I've got a fair amount of good footage. All my boys got played out before the second rail area with the exception of 2 who just could'nt put anything that hot together on them. But whatever. Flood got a limp from driving his knee into the bricks full force, but got hammered the night before and collected two hickeys. Anyway... Seriously dumb judging as always. Winners new it and shared loot.
We all got down that evening to Hell's Belles. Those girls can rock. And I came back to sleep from a long day of work and filming on an empty stomach and 3 hours of sleep the night before. I felt more haggered after that contest than most the riders.
Today's adventures included multiple trips to the airport, missed flights, X-Men 2, breaking into the mall after hours to check my work schedule, emptying my account for rent, napping, and talking with a lot of people on the phone... which I hate to do, but did with people and friends I owed it too. I feel good now.
Linz is such a party girl... hopefully we can get her some hours to keep her at it. Dancing friday was fun but I had hoped to have such a bigger group. That crap above through a lot of my initial plans off. Still... I got to dance with too hot honeys... Mia & Linz. Envy me.
This pic is one of my roommates at some point during this past weekend. He's pickled as you can probably gather. Just prior to me dragging his ass upstairs he passed out in the kitchen with a grilled cheese cooking in the Forman grill. It was smoking and pooling grease & cheese on the counter when I got back from dropping Linz off. Dork. He slept like that for 4 hours before his snoring got so intolerable that I rigged him better. Since then he got a mohawk, a job, and isn't drinking... as much.
Now hopefully I can get a little further than my own damn journal on this site. You'd think I'm an egomaniac or something.
