I had to get into here kinda stealth so that the parents of the kid who's house I'm at won't think one of their guests has been looking at internet porno... I don't really care, but they've been really nice.
There was, and still is a lot of snow here. The three riders I'm with have been killing themselves. Pretty raw proof too. The first day was really sunny. Too little & too late did I realize that my face was burning off. Like most of you, I'm a real pale fucker who's never tanned in my life. The skin on my nose is weeping. Everything is flaking now, and because I'm a picker... I bleed. The past 3 days on the other hand have been rainy, cold, & foggy. Kinda sucked but made for a couple really cool shots. I've been eating and sleeping annoyingly large amounts on this trip too.
Our still camera guy, who left today, was nice, but a tweaker. He got lots of shots though. I only have a twentieth by comparison because most of the tricks weren't landed. Most of you could give a fuck, but a few here can feel my frustration. Shovelled, absorbed 2 gallons of rain into clothing, and froze in the 30 degree weather setting up 3 rails today... Derived one trick. Such is the way of filming.
The snowboarding industry took another blow yesterday that chalks this year up to an almost new low. Again, only a few will understand or care, and this is as inside as it gets. Jeff Anderson (One of the 2 notorious snowboarding brothers) died yesterday goofing around in Japan. A couple of these guys I'm with here were good buddies of his and are taking it weird. A second hit for Burton too. He was trying to slide down a spiral stairway rail outside a building when halfway down he fell backward falling a couple stories onto his neck, dying instantly. Fuck... just fuck.
All and all though I'm having a really fun trip. Time away will make it that much more pleasant to be back. A lot of my east coast friends got wind of me being out here but it's just far enough away to hinder getting together, and I kinda have things to do still.
I hope some of you got my presents and enjoy them. Still on cue to be home wed. Followed by 3 consecutive days at work. I hope my leper face doesn't scare off customers
Say hi to redrobot, he rules. And see 'Frank the Tank' in 'Old School',

Thanks for the kindness. Hopefully the next time you're in Baltimore it will coincide with an SGCC/DC event. We'd love to meet you.
