The man...

He originally tried to hide the fact that one of my fav bands was coming to town. He then wouldn't allow pre-selling tickets... fucker. He proceeded to keep me at work until 10:15 PM. He then through in a route to the show with four damn "no turn" signs. He left no parking within a fucking mile of the venue. He sold out the show 5 people ahead of me in line.

But... He didn't think I was core enough to watch from outside, through a glass door, right next to the stage. I rocked with a few other diehard strangers, who are no longer strange, through all 3 bands, in what eventually got to be pretty cold weather. They could see me the whole time, and continually gave me support. I snuck in afterwards and talked with a few people from the band for a couple minutes. Free... and a lot of fun. Morals = never be too high and mighty, create more venues for those sorry kids under 21 who are also fans, always presell tickets, create larger venues, and...

Damn the MAN!

i sort of beat the Man by parking in front of the venue and listening to the whole thang from the front doors. at first i tried to get tickets from a scalper. then i realized, "um, yeah. you can still hear everything without the smell of those smelly types who don't shower or brush their teeth a week before a show. What's up with those guys? I mean, really..."

end transmission

The Warriors began my fear of the end of the world. Escape From New York and Mad Max fueled it. reading The Stand convinced me it is all hopeless. Vonnegut showed me the way.
