I'm back...
Snowboard / Skateboard camp at Hood this summer was even better than last year. Some new but mostly old faces, much improved on and offhill facilities, crazy rad campers, sick living arrangements, and a less intense attitude going in were all contributing factors... And being attactched at the hip to my best friend for the first time in a year would make walking through hell hillarious, so placing us in our element made me about as pleased as I could be with another dude.
I rode and filmed an assload. Finally learned some shit about editing and even made an 8 minute bonus Mt. Hood part for the Finger on The Trigger film "Livin Proof" (Check your local Sk8 / Snowboard shops in early September) all by my lonesome. I gave out a lot of footage and landed my name in the credits to almost every major snowboard movie coming out this year, which is pretty cool, not that you give a crap. I also learned a couple new tricks which I was in dire need of, to keep my ass motivated, and for the first time since I moved here a year ago, I have more than $1000 in the f-ing bank. A crazy tattoo my friend drew up is soon to shit on that parade.
GT's walking in on Ben & his babe banging more than once; having a camper have his first wet dream in our house and then later in that session pounding 4 redbulls before going to bed and waking up in a pile of his own vomit dumbfounded; rallying the fuck out of multiple 15 passenger vans & one sorry minivan; tire hunting; drunk bussing 4 big vans full of staff to Lola's dancing; bowling & a movie / Paintball / Go-kart activity days; soccer games followed by Dairy Queen barf sessions; checking punk kid's attitudes; selling Binary Code vids; in-between trips to Seattle; seeing old friends; having double faucets from food poisoning; and soo soo much more I'll try to add later.
Another opportunity to drive back across the country with the formentioned friend who needs to get back to film school in Boston presented itself about a month ago. The car is nice, the gas is paid, and the current employment situation is somewhere in limbo so duty calls... Duty now for the future.
My future back here in Portland continues September 15th, but chances are I'll be dropping in on SG from both TheDza's computer and hopefully a new powerbook of my own. With the roommate shuffling machine activated, my arrival back here should be more surprizing than Christmas morning. Anyway...
