My very first tattoo!

... as a tattoo apprentice.

Halloween was very special this year. We couldn't do anything like a party, but we don't use to celebrate the date here in Brazil anyways. I don't care about that, really lol, I always made halloween happen, for me and my friends, no matter what. Every year, I used to prepare something special on halloween. πŸŽƒπŸ•ΈοΈ

A party, or some special make up and photos. This year it was different, and much more special. 😁

My boyfriend, my tattoo mentor. Choose to tattoo our friend at Halloween's Eve. An Edward Scissorhands tattoo, so we could get into Halloween's mood and make a tiny party for us. Me, him, my girl friend and her boyfriend (they live with us, rent can be expensive, so we choose to live like that + is fun to have more people in the house).

Anyways. So we were there, and I had my year of learning about tattoos, it happened, it was the moment to be brave, forget my fear and finally tattoo someone. I took the courage and ask for my mentor, to let me do the snowflake, a peace of the tattoo, cause I was feeling prepare to it. And I did it. 😁😁😁 (Singing Dora's song on my head right now, we did it, we did it 🎡)

A tiny ❄️ snowflake, between Edward scissor fingers 😝. And Goddess I was nervous. My hands were shaking, so afraid of missing a line.

It wasn't the most technical tattoo on the world πŸ˜…, but I was proud for losing my fear and making progress.

Here it is, my first tattoo ever. πŸ–€

You guys could think that's all, but no, I went further. I didn't stop there. My mentor decided that I was ready to do something bigger, and let me tattoo himself. It was a huge honor. And also a huge pressure, to tattoo someone that is great at his job, and that want nothing but greatness for me too.

He have his faults do, and he is a very unpatience person. But he knows I can take it. We talked about that pressure so.many times, and I feel that woman don't have much space in the field of tattoos, that has to change, I want to help, changing that, and I guess the only way to really make the difference, is for me to work hard and be an example of a good tattoo artist, of a great female tattoo artist, like the ones I admire. And I guess my path for that is going to be full of thorns, so he is preparing me to it.

He is helping me to learn how to deal with pressure from the clients, to deal with people throwing shit at my work, and also to keep my head up when a man try to put me down and question my artistic self.

Anyways, back to "the story" I did that, I tattooed my mentor.

And that is the tattoo.

The experience was a hurricane of feelings. I get home and cried on the shower after that, cause when I was holding the tattoo machine on my fingers, I had to be brave, take deep breaths, correct my mistakes and finish the job. I cried from happiness, from feeling pressured to do great, from sadness cause I wish my path was faster, a tone of feeling. A lot of mixed emotions happened.

Now I am happy with my progress, but I also am super awake, and that makes me notice, that I have a huge path in front of me, a lot to learn and dedicate to.

I am in love with being a tattoo artist apprentice. I am proud that I keep my head up and am able to deal with that huge pressure, and I am thankful to myself in the past, for being patient, and waiting to learn with someone, and very, very grateful for the opportunity to learn from my mentor ( @yagoritos_ ).

Also I am glad I can share my story, and my happiness with you guys πŸ–€ Thank you very much for all the support.

πŸ’‹ Xoxo, Bonnie Darko. 🐰
