So, thats my day.
Now, ive decided to write a little something about a certain problem i have:
Concreate Shelf: The love and hate relationship between bonnie and curbs
I have always had a problem with curbs. They just simply dont like me. I myself, have never had ill feelings towards curbs. I am not a curbist. I strive to keep a close working relationship with them but they continue to harass and subject me to humiliation. I remember the first time i noticed something to be a little amiss with these road "friends". I was happily driving along with a friend of mine, ready to turn left at a set of lights. I moved into the intersection when suddenly, the road that i had thought i was turning down had suddenly moved and in front of me was the pavement! I swerved to the left, narrowly avoiding an accident. As i stepped out of the car, i swear i could hear a slight near silent laughing.
This has happened many a time to me. I'll be driving along and the curb will suddenly appear right in front of me. I'll be so shocked i have to drop the cigarette im trying to light and the food im trying to eat and steer with my hands instead of my knees like normal. Its a scary, scary thought that one day these curbs may overtake us. Like Hal, they will frighten and intimidate us into killing ourselves on the roads.
So take heed fair reader and beware. It may be you that ends up a chalk outline on those concreate slabs that supposedly save our lives.
