Soooooo, the ex has a new girlfriend.
Reasons why i feel okay about it all:
1. He's 23, she's 17.
2. In the past he has made the mistake of basing a girls entire personality on there looks. His first girlfriend was a short red-headed long haired hippy lesbian turned straight. I was a short redhead slightly punky, indie redhead with piercings. The new one? A short red-headed heavy metal chick.
3. I know he's co-dependant, will never learn and repeat the same mistakes until he is 40....or possibly older.
4. Im doing things with my life and he goes to a camp every year because over there he can be a completely different person. Enter "big man on campus" syndrome
5. Our friends like me more.
Im sure there is more but they are at the top of the list at the moment.
I actually feel really happy and yesterday i had a huge overwhelming feeling of total relief that the relationship was over.
Everything is totally going to be fine.
