On Christmas day, I cooked my first prime rib - it turned out GREAT.
Then, while making coffee - my bodum french press broke and 12 cups of very hot water poured all over me.
As I was rinsing it off in my shower - I realized my skin was sloughing off - so I went to the ER. Had to get a tetnus shot. I have pretty serious burns on my entire thigh and 1/2 my stomach. YEOW.
I went to the burn center Tuesday and they put some fabric that adhered to my skin - it is supposed to fall off in about 14 days - no shower in the meantime. I'm off work of course because I can't even put clothes on. My friend came and went shopping. .
It hurts like HELL. Out of painkiller. Oozing stuff all over my new 700 Thread count sheets. I can barely get up to make myself food because it involves climbing stairs. It is throbbing. I am getting increasingly depressed. I'm not even answering my phone anymore.
I want my mommie!

God, I am so sorry. Nothing hurts worse than a burn
