So i'd like to take a minute to talk about gay marriage. a recent entry in terrakotta's journal made me think about this and i wanted to share it with you. now as much as i'd like to start bitching about conservatives and saying how much they don't know what they're talking about when they say it will "destroy the sanctity of marriage". because i haven't heard a bigger load of shit than that. i was in the wedding party this summer for one of my best friends (the one taking the picture in my profile pic) wedding to his boyfriend. and it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies i have ever seen. both of their families were there and they were both very pround of their sons. it was so much fun. so i feel like there's no point to bitching here because i'm preaching to the choir.
that being said. what i do hate is the 700 club bumper stickers.....you know the ones that say marriage = (man plus woman). if you don't live in massachusetts you may not see them since the gay marriage is such a big issue here everybody feels the need to display their politcal opnions on their bumper. and if not on their bumper they put them on stop signs and road signs. (at least they're all over my neighborhood) so a few months ago (maybe around christmas when they started showing up) a friend of mine (different one than the one mentioned above) took it upon himself to fight them at their own game. so he went to a sticker making company and had his own bumper stickers made.
and my personal favorite
now we haven't actually gotten the balls up to put one of these over someones thats on a car. but we've been trying to put them over all the ones on streets signs so that we don't have to look at them anymore. now i can't take the credit for having these made but i do help spread them around. so if you see any of the 700 club ones on street signs let me know so that i can cover up their garbage. thanks.

I know that sphericalstrange is taking is wife so I'm trying to find out who is taking other people...I, alas, will have to go alone because my dearest will most likely be covering my work stuff (and I can't let just anyone cover it...it's pretty complicated for some of the dummies I work with
