Sweet, sweet high speed internet. oh how I have missed thee. not just for the porn as some would like to accuse me of.....but for youtube. damn that site for getting me addicted for watchig endless useless videos.
new layout for the personal info. not sure if i like it. i don't think i could narrow it down to just ten favorite bands. now are we talking to my top ten current artists, or my top ten overall? i could probably give you my top ten artists in each genre. or even my top ten record lables....then it would cover most of the stuff i listen too. alas.....i'll try to narrow it down.
ahhhh christmas season is upon us again. and this is the first time in many years that i'm actually enjoying decorating and getting ready. Becky and I bought a tree together. it's a sweet little four foot tall artificial one. but the best part about it is that it's a fiber optic tree. very trippy looking when all the lights are out. all the colors just swirl around the tree. it's two weeks before the day itself and i already have half of my presents bought and even some of them wrapped already. and no i didnt' pay someone to do it.
i seem to have run into a bit of a problem. for the past few years i spend most of the year looking forward to this time so that i can drink the harpoon winter warmer seasonal brew. so a few days ago i went out and finally bought a case. i was so happy to pop one open and start drinking. when after the second sip i realized that harpoon has changed the recipe (or else i bought a bad batch, not quite sure which but for the purpose of this story let just say they changed the recipe). so i thought....."well this isn't as good as the last couple years but it's still a good beer either way, just not a strong of a flavor to it." so i only drank two that night. but when i woke up the next morning i was having a really bad alergic reaction to something. it lasted most of the day. so i retraced i everything i had done in the last 24 hours and the only thing out of the ordinary that i had done was to drink those beers. so last night i decided to give it another try. opened a bottle and just took a sniff of the brew and started to sneeze. "oh no" i thought, i was right. so i tried a few sips. and by the time i was halfway done with the bottle my eyes were all itchy and watery and my nose was running. this sucks. it's happened to me with some other beers. there must be some grain or other flavoring in it that's bothing my allergies. but it's never really happened to a beer that i liked so much. so i guess i'll have to drink sam adams winter brew for now. a good beer but not the same as the harpoon winter warmer.

If I remember correctly, weren't venues like Scholastic Weekly Readers and / or Highlights Magazine responsible for penpal instigations? TK must know, eh?
