So much for my first attempt at bouncing (for pay). The bar owner hired his buddy from the gym without telling his head of security. Oh well.. I get my Saturday nights back and loose my gas money.. Ick! 
No word from any of the other contracts. One's definitely not happening. Too long for someone who wanted me to start immediately. The other two were verbals from IT directors so who knows if they are real or just things they would like to have??? I sure hope I'm wrong, but it's happened too often for me not to believe I've been jerked around yet again. Corp. America sucks...
Time to return to more creative pursuits and see what turns up... Any ideas??? Not that I'll follow any, but what the heck. Could be very interesting to try....
Now to try to get some sleep for the first night in a while.. Need to get a little more clarity and see if that is a light at the end of the tunnel or just the next train.
