Does anyone else have trouble figuring out what the hell is going on?
The most awesome thing happened yesterday.
Well, not the most awesome. But it's still pretty fucking awesome. I marched into the downtown HMV to see The Tick on DVD! I can finally throw out my old VHS tapes. Which were pretty useless since my VHS doesn't work. Man. That show's fucking hilarious! With evil villains like the Bread Master, Chairface Chippendale and the Evil Midnight...

the tick is heeeelarious!
bombastic:
Foolishly so. In the episode "The Tick vs. The Tick" in first season, I laughed pretty hard. They walk up to this doorman who insists that Arthur not be admitted to the superhero club because he's just a sidekick. Tick thinks about it for a moment and says "I see, spelling America with a K, are you?" And then shrugs and goes in, leaving Arthur outside.
I lost it. Fucking brilliant.

I really shouldn't be doing this. I'm still at work and it's almost 7:30. Getting lots of shit done and I hope I'm impressing my boss. I've discovered that impressing the boss means getting favourable leads for good products which means more money for me. Not to mention the more work I do the more commission I get. Plans fell through for tonight so here...

Yah,
Anytime I really go wandering, I find great places.
I just need to get out more. This weekend has been all about home renovations. It should be all done by Tuesday or so, then back to wandering and what not.

Well, lookit me. Things are okay. I picked up on Wednesday and have been pretty busy since, with work and crap and life and garbage. But everything's cool now. It's the weekend.
So here I am, as my pseudonym suggests, yapping away at this journal-like entity logging my thoughts and my daily activities. A poor reason for me to be yammering as I'm wont to...

Meh, a minor obsession is ok.
So long as you know where to draw the line. Sometimes it is also harder to try and explain a seeming obsession to someone else, as they weren't there for the experience that you had with the person.

It's funny. It's more of a challenge than an obsession, really. I mean, how am I going to obsess over something I have no way of controlling? I've searched here and there when I've found opportunity (like when I was working for Rogers and had access to their phone bank) but I've otherwise kept myself unconcerned.
And it's not like I'm going to ignore those I otherwise meet. Besides. She may very well be married by now. I find it unlikely, but anything's possible.

Okay, so apparently I need to have more people listed in my friends pile in order for be to get access to the SG Canada East group. I don't know how that works, but that's what I was told. So don't be surprised if you've suddenly gotten a friend request.

Re: last post about being lame and only working and doing domestic-type non-social stuff.
My grandfather goes on more dates than I do. I mean, I'm happy for him. Go Zaide. Whatever. I want a clean apartment. I'm gonna go back to doing my dishes.
<SNIFF> I'm jealous of my picture. I'm currently just as sober as I am stoned in that picture. I plan...

I've gotta do something more about getting out there. It's been a year and a half since I broke up with my ex-girlfriend. We're still wicked friends but completely uninterested in each other for anything more than friendship. Which sucks for my libido. What else sucks is that I've not met anyone since then that I could stomach to talk to for more than a...

I'm embarassed at how awesome I think Corpse Bride is. It's so foolishly, predictably gitch. But it was the coolest setting ever.

good call
I'm having one of those days.
One of those days where you just want to turn off the world. Shut everything out, leave for somewhere where nobody can find you and be completely alone. Or otherwise away from the people that you normally deal with. Not that anyone around here's particularly bad or anything. I'm not trying to avoid anyone. I'm just having one of...

move away! i did...nothin' wrong with running away from your problems.
bombastic:
I don't see any problem with moving to a new location and trying something very new, but I don't agree that running from problems is good. It's like an infection. It's likely only to make the wound fester.
Oh. And I should say "in my opinion." I opened up a huge can of worms on the Question Everything board because I didn't say "in my opinion."
Whatever. They ARE wrong.

Okay, so there's no avoiding it. I put up a picture. Woo.
I thought I looked smug enough in the one I posted to have it be an image of me upon which everyone who looks through the point-form description of me will judge my personality. The picture is inoffensive and crooked. And I'm decidedly unsober. I'm not going to be doing much more than...

Then it's an appropriate pic. Both for the site and for me. I'm too busy at work to put stuff up, so it's likely I'm at home. And if I'm at home it's likely that I'm baked.
user038538:
i too thought that if you linked to a comment that the person you linked to somehow would recieve it, but no, it only shows up under your blog
I find this really interesting.
IWhen I opened up this account to a public account, I wasn' exactly sure why I was doing it. I mean, I did it with the intention of writing on this thing. And the only reason I would do that is to have other people see it. I have an LJ elsewhere on which I put down my own theories...

I had first started making journal entries as an "experiment" of sorts...i was curious about who would comment and so on, so i started dropping comments in other peoples journals as well...and now look at me...hooked!!
If a blog exists and nobody cares to read it, does it really matter what's said?
I guess not. Which is why, I think, I'm here to begin with. Wait. No. That's not right at all. I'll start over.
This is pretty much the furthest thing from anywhere I would seek new people. Selling material testing equipment pays awesome. But the people there selling with...

Meeting people at clubs is lame! Most of the time they are too drunk to remember your name anyways!
And as far as the blog thing is concerned...well....I guess you could kind of look at it like the tree in the forest thing.....but writing can also just help the writer alone get things out, even if no one reads them.
But most of the time, in this type of setting people write blogs to be noticed, so if you write something no one reads, then yes, it is pointless to write it!
But good thinking and I just read your thread in question everything, and I don't have response to it other than, perhaps you might have to believe it just exists without know why. Not, a very good answer, but sometimes just knowing it exists without an answer is the only answer!

Hm. Interesting. Actually, that's pretty awesome.
Thanks for the comments. I like the tree in the forest thing. I imagine mine's so gnarled that it can't see out of its glen.
But what if it's intended to be noticed only by a certain type of person? I agree that it's written so that other people can see. But there's a reason behind everything.
