Grave of the Fireflies isn't exactly horrifying, but it is disturbing. It made me cry. TWICE.
Also there's a movie called Audition, it's in Japanese with subtitles. It's really... ugh. *shudder* If you can find it, have a blast with it. I know it's something I will never ever ever ever ever watch again.
