Wow, it's been a while since I posted any of my mundane comments about my life.
So I'll refrain from waxing poetic as my mind is nothing but a jumble of thoughts which I doubt can translate into any coherent thought.
Without any time to get lost in my own thoughts lately I have become quite thoughtful in conversations with friends, family and strangers. I spoke with a homeless guy yesterday for nearly an hour about life and struggle. That was really amazing. He decided years ago that he wouldn't fight against the world but take what it offered. That left him happy and while he doesn't have a consistent place to sleep or much money he wants for nearly nothing except a good drink every now and then and his day is made whole if someone gives him a cigarette so he doesn't have to search through ashtrays for butts. I gave him no money, no cigarettes, only conversation and an moment of friendship. I suggest everyone do it.
Of course then I went home in my fairly new car to my nice place and went to a really nice dinner with Lori who promptly pronounced that she has grown to enjoy me more than anyone else she's ever known. She has already said she loved me and I replied the same but telling me she enjoyed my company touched my heart more than I can explain and is truly the reason why my mind is in a jumble today.
But I just re-read that paragraph and realize it started going somewhere and then took a sharp turn at Albuquerque and never got where it was going.
I hope to hell if someone is reading this they get the Bugs Bunny reference if not quit reading as I do not want you to read my blog.
