Ok, finally, here's a real update.

It's probably not going to be really fun for you guys, but I'm having a 'yay me' moment!

I just spent the last 6 hours trying to take care of my financial life. Somehow, none of my bills went through the last month (I do it all on line), which resulted in all those late fees and finance charges. Lots and lots of $$$!!!

So, I call each company, stay on hold for ever and ever and ever and ever, but in the end, each one of them reversed all the charges and re-instated my preferred customer rates (I don't carry balances, but if I ever did, 2.99%-4.5% beats 21.99% by a lot!).
And all on my word only... Guess 10 years of having perfect credit history does pay off.

Then... I get my mail and there's all this end-of-quarter stuff. My portfolio - doing way better than I expected.
My mutual fund - doing way better than I expected (and it just went up again).
My retirement - more money in it then I thought.
My savings - they increased my interest rate as a way of saying 'thanks for being such a loyal customer' (the increase is pathetic, but hey, in 100 years, that half of a penny a year will add up to something, right?)

Then... I clean the kitchen. Then the bathroom. Ah, what the hell, guess I'll vaccuum too...
I stopped myself before I started doing the windows.
And now I'm going to go look at some furniture for my soon-to-be-new-place.

So, I guess I'm having a grown-up day.
What's going on with me?
