Detox - Day One, take two:

Whoops!

But I need all the help I can get if I am to go deal with my bills...
On that note, I better get my butt of the computer and my checkbook out.

Three things that are funny/sad:

#1. My roommate's been gone for 2 days and I miss him... I mean, it's nice to have the house to myself, but it's kind of weird that he doesn't come in the evening and tell me all the stuff that makes me laugh, or makes me go out and have a cigarette with him even though he doesn't smoke and I've just had one, or... you know, all that little stuff.
But, he'll be back before I know it and then hopefully I'll get sick of him fast
(the cat misses him too )


#2. I was supposed to go to a party with Andy tonight and then to Sat. Service, but instead, here I am... I feel kind of bad for flaking out on him (although I did drop him off at the party and told him to call me if he decides he must go to SS)... but, it's just one of those evenings where it feels like... mmm, just mellow, full-moon, quiet serenity.
I do like Andy, though. He's a great guy, very very cool and aware, esp. for his age. And he cracks me up... I'll definitelly have to buy him a drink tomorrow night!


#3. Now, this is just plain wrong:

I don't know how to make Cream of Rice

I don't have a box because I had to get organic stuff, and since I'm not really sure I'll be able to stomack it, I got just a little bit in bulk... but forgot to look at the cooking instructions. So, here I am now, looking for them on line! Anyone?

It's ridiculous though: I can cater a 500+ -wine-county-snobby-picky-rich-people wedding, I can invent recipes and get them published, I can... I can do magic in the kitchen, but give me Cream of Rice and I crumble!


Oh, and here is #4, which is not funny or sad, just kind of cool (at least I think):

I don't feel one bit bad for spending a Saturday evening/night at home by myself!!! I am such great company, I feel priviledged to be able to spend time with myself. I heart me!
