I got old. I didn't realize just how old I was when I joined SG. I am starting to realize that I'm looking at women that are waaaay too young for me to ever date.
The theory I am currently working with on why this is involves emotional maturity and prison. When Profilers are figuring out the age of a serial killer they don't count any years they spent in prison when they profile their age.
For example on a show they may say that the bellybutton vagina killer is 35. Then when they catch the twisty and he turns out to be 40 they say "Oh he spent five years in jail." "that accounts for it."
I think that the same thing may be true for Marriage. I was married when I was 24. Now I'm divorced at 37 and I'm looking at 24 year old women. Just like a serial killer fresh outta the pen I'm looking at women that were the age I was before I went in (or got married in my case).
Marriage has stunted my perceptions of what an age appropriate woman should look like. Most of the women my age I see seem really old to me.
I dated SG's before I got married, but now lets face it I'm 37. There is no way I'm ever gonna get to date anyone from this site. The odds of me finding a SG with the combination of low standards and father issues are slim to none.
The oldest SG I've ever even seen on this site is Fen who's 31 (and hot as hell I might add). At 37 I am a dinosaur for this site. I'm may be the the proverbial dirty old man. At least they haven't banned me from looking at the dirty pictures. Maybe I should start an AARP group.
