My birthday was yesterday, I turned 30. Kinda a wierd thing. Here is basically how the 24 hours surrounding my birthday went.
Tart got me olives and hummus and sweets the night before. I cried, literally. Ive never been so happy to see olives. I'm sure you understand.
Yesterday afternoon we both had to do some work, which doesnt really bother my doing work on my birthday. Making money makes me happy too.
After that we went our friends new house and a gazed in amazement at how sweet it was. Its an old 2 family converted to a 1. Great house, great area. As soon as we left there, I immediately came home and started looking at house listings. I want one.
Then the 4 of us were trying to figure out what to eat. Someone mentions a new Ethiopian place thats only been open a week. I cringe, but say ok. Why not try it? Something new for 30? We get there, and apparently they wanted it to be hot enough to cook their food in there without the help of fire, b/c there was no air conditioning, and immediately, it was hot as we walked in. I can deal with a little heat. Then I ordered my drink. "I'll take a Sprite". I normally wouldnt order Sprite, but they had no alcohol, and only 3 soda pops, and I dont do diet. They bring me the soda IN A CAN. WHO THE FUCK DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE????? I felt like I was at a little league baseball game. So I sat at our tiny table with the other 3 of us, pouring my soda from my can into my glass so I can drink it. Soon after, I went from little league to bizarro world. They brought us our food, which, granted, when we ordered, we really didnt know what we were getting. They bring out these 2 pizza pan looking plates, one had our 2 friends food on it, the other had me and Tarts food on it. I have never been so confused by food in my life. Each plate had what looked to be like a big pancake in it, and on top of the pancake were a couple small piles of some sort of something, almost like hummus, but not. And that was it. The waitress left. So between the heat, the can of soda, the small table, and then the food that rivals Dumb and Dumber on comedy, as well as our friends, and the beautiful Tart, it was probably one of the most memorable dinners ever. Tight.
Then we went to our friend Justicia's burlesque show the Benchpress Burlesque. I know she is super proud of this, and we had a good time watching her. Definately funny, definately entertaining.
After this we went to CBGBs. Man, I dont like bars. But Tart helped make it a good time, lilke she usually does. I spotted Giselle, which quickly me and Tart agreed that she needs to get a set up pronto. SUPER HOT. And I am a creepy for saying that, b/c I didnt even get to talk to her, but Tart did, and talked about her quite a bit thru the rest of the night.
After this, we went back to our friends house, passed a bowl around, the drank some more, then we watched some porno while the 2 ladies did sexy dances and showed me their sweet moves.
I went home, had some more olives.
