Perhaps the natural progression of certain things is ebb and flow.
High tide—low tide.
Certain months at SG are a bit lackluster.
Compared to those months where our respective cups overfloweth.
June 2010 was rough.
But even so, there was great stuff that dropped that month.
…just not a lot of it.
The month can be summed up thusly: artless sets and fake tits.
So let’s find those exceptions.
Those sets WORTH remembering fondly.
First up is @ackley is her perfect set Closer to Heaven .
Her epic breasts (!!!) rocked the site for five wonderful years before she parted ways with SG.
Next up, we got a great set by @aisline entitled Something Blue .
This gal was looking fucking HAWT in this set.
What a pretty gal!!
And a nice rack.
Next up, we got more perfection courtesy of @praesepe .
Check out her set Sweet Tea .
What an OUTSTANDING pair of knockers!!!
She was with SG for 11 years.
Then she too cut her ties with the site.
Why?
Do models get a “buyout” when they “leave” the site?
Because it seems pretty stupid to me that these bitches left.
I mighta tipped them.
What could possibly be so bad as to make a model ACTIVELY discontinue a passive revenue stream???
Next up, we have ANOTHER perfect set.
It’s @zombie in her deftly-titled debut White Light White Heat .
That’s the kinda title that makes me wanna GET TO KNOW a model.
You know—read their bio and shit.
So kudos to Zombie and the photographer @alissa for this perfect set.
Alissa was KILLING IT in this era.
If you’re looking at an awesome set from this era, there’s a good chance that Alissa shot it.
So what makes this set perfect?
Red hair and fantastic breasts.
What a beautiful lady!!!
And I love the luminous glow of sexuality that Alissa helped impart to this juggernaut (no pun intended).
Next up, we got ANOTHER PERFECT FUCKING SET.
[I know what you’re thinking…”with so many perfect sets, how could this month be all that bad?” Answer: because everything else was really, REALLY poor.]
Check out the perfection of @astatine in her penultimate (?) set Everlasting Love .
Good Lord…what a mind-blowing couple of mammaries!!!
Also great was @xtrigger in Sprung .
It was her only Hopeful set.
She had TONS of potential!!
She shoulda kept making sets.
And we can’t forget @tarion in Decadence .
Mint-green is ALWAYS a good color choice.
And nice clear photography here by @talamia !
Also good was @zooey in HER penultimate (?) set Metropolitan Sunshine .
What a superb pair of legs!
A tall drink of water…or, perhaps, a Coca-Cola with a seductive straw.
Let’s kick it up a notch with @sid in Shoot to Thrill .

One thing is certain: lots of people were doing shitty work around this period—while Alissa was doing awesome work.]

Oh, jeez…another gal who split after five years.
I wonder what the average SG “career” measures?
[I put career in scare quotes (mwah ha hah!) because I am defining career as length of time between debut set and the point at which the model said, “Fuck this!” Of course, MANY great models have never felt compelled to officially leave the site. Which indicates a multitude of happy (or, at the very least, smart) models. I’m still wondering if there’s a buyout…a “retirement” package (so to speak). Perhaps seeing models who have split indicates that Suicide Girls is the smart entity. Buy low, sell high. It’s business, baby!]
Three more sets.
Next we got @tayler in her Hopeful debut London Passage .
Frankly, these Hopefuls making great sets shoulda gone Pink (during this era in which it would have behooved SG to sign any passerby with a pulse).
But SG knows better than me.
They have LASTED.
It’s easy find mistakes in retrospect.
So my job here is not hard (just tedious, occasionally).
