I hate to be a downer.
August 2008 was probably the worst month in SG history in terms of creativity and model quality—the worst month since the site’s inception in 2001.
But I’m gonna focus on the good stuff.
First was @sharissa with The Mirror .

Ginormous breasts for the win!!
There were actually a few perfect sets in this otherwise dire month.
One was Sky Lit by @haireisis .
I tipped this set a couple of days ago.
The beautiful coral areolas of Haireisis were in but one set.
Fifteen years ago.
I sure wish she’d come back to the site and grace us with her beauty!!!
Also Fucking Classy was @lou .
This set succeeds not least because it is fun.
Check out the shot with her eyes covered and that genuine, joyous smile on her face!
Was Suicide Girls going through something around this time?
Hard to say by just looking at the sets.
Was Closing Time hovering like the Grim Reaper?
Not if @naira had anything to say about it.
This lovely Brazilian was certainly pulling her weight with the above-linked set!
Another excellent model doing great work around this time was @mason .

Ok, let’s indulge in a double-dose of perfection.
First, it was @kifki in Bored Lolita .
Rose-wine areolæ and milk trickling down her chin.
ASTOUNDING!!!
Next was @enairo with Behind the Voile .
This slice of mammary perfection was captured by the second great photographer in SG history: @p_mod .

Enairo’s set was ARTFUL.
And she was someone worth looking at.
It’s not all about huge jugs (although that helps).
Refer again to the previous set by Kifki.
You don’t need massive knockers to be hot.
But you can’t be homely and boring while expecting to become a star.
The art of pin-ups is about PERSONALITY.
Have a personality.
Know who you are.
Let it SHINE.
Don’t try to copy your peers.
Be DIFFERENT for fuck’s sake!
To détour a Zappa thought, “know the ugliest part of your body”.
Or, rather, know what your STRENGTH is.
Why do you want to model?
What do you have that most don’t have?
Find out.
Ask people.
Get honest answers.
That’s how to build your brand.
YOU are your brand.
Choose a good name.
Choose a great photographer.
Put your heart and soul into it and it just might pay off.
Merely getting naked probably ain’t gonna fucking cut it.
Unless you’re goddamned Brigitte Bardot or something.
And even Bardot could be boring.
[Le Mépris is a good example. Good film. Lackluster Bardot. Hot didn’t cut it.]
