i figured i'm a bit overdue for an honest to goodness journal entry beyond the graphic or the cryptic so here goes..
its hard to imagine how i could've had a better month. august has been good to me in more ways than i can list. the first week was pretty gnarly with school stuff like finals, group projects, and papers. but the following week was spent in the big island, surfing and bonding with my little sister. i''ll have to post the remaining pictures from the trip soon. lil sis is truly an amazing person and she does her big bro proud.
before i departed for the islands i met someone that i hung out with briefly last year but lost touch of. the attraction and synergy ripples with energy and i feel foolish for admitting it but i can't help but smile during random moments of reflection. its strange that she came into my life at that point because i was brooding over a different female who also popped up after being gone for several years. things sure have a peculiar way of sorting themselves out. and man can that girl dance.
went to some pretty good parties on three consecutive weekends, celebrating the summer in proper LA fashion. there was a warehouse party downtown, a forest party in the angeles national forest, and a beach party in ventura.
the hollywood bowl's annual bossa nova night was on wednesday the 17th and a fairly packed bowl was in attendance to celebrate the music of antonio carlos jobim. the annual reggae night concert is this sunday and you know for damn sure that i'm up in that jawns blowing mad smoke.
i wish you all the best cause it ain't nothin but peace and love from my end. now i'm sneaking out of the office to go surf county line.
