with the exception of an early morning surf session on tuesday, the past several days have been all grindstone for yours truly. all of last weekend was spent under an avalanche of text books, with contributed capital and multi criteria decision analysis replacing my bong and vaporizer as favored companions. but my labor and sacrifices were not in vain because after i get my study on and finish out this week, numerous rewards await me this weekend.
friday nite is japan girls nite in hollywood. japanese girl punk bands petty booka, tsushimamire, and others are playing one of my favorite hollywood blvd spots.
saturday nite, another boat party. its been a while since i've worked it out on the dance floor and i've got a fierce groove to lay down. in the days leading up to the party i plan on sustaining myself on a careful selection of hand picked music and my regular routine of cock push ups (a la tenacious d).
monday nite i've an appointment with nathaniel merriweather and chest rockwell aka the handsome boy modeling school. i'm really curious to see how they pull the concert off, because nathaniel and chest (nee dan the automator and prince paul) mainly supplied the beats on the album while heads like the rza, del, jack johnson, and the mars volta did vocals and instrumentals.
