i've been looking forward to tonite's concert for a very long time. the last time i saw etta was at the long beach blues festival (source of today's photo) in august and AT LAST i get to see her again. when times are tough and you're thinking bad thoughts like I'D RATHER GO BLIND than face another day, etta is there to lift you up. now etta may not be able to hear my grievances but i can guarantee that she'd listen if only you TELL MAMA.
and when things are going good--and i mean really good--nothing let's somebody special know how you feel when you tell them I WANT TO TA-TA YOU BABY.
