So, sunday was a very sad day for me. My pup jussi was adopted. Perhaps I should go back and explain. When work let me know I was coming to el paso for a few months, they only gave me a week to make arrangements. Part of the agreement for me taking the assignment was that need to be allowed to bring my dog. I had only had her 3weeks and she was in that key phase of house breaking and training. The arrangements were made and Jussi and I were Texas bound in 3 days. However, as is often the case with these folks, the story changed the next day. So in a mad scramble to find a trustworthy home for jussi to stay, I called the breeder. They said they would be happy board her. Their recommendation was to allow her to be adopted because by the time I got back, she would be almost a year old and most of that time would be spent away from me. Therefore she would be bonded and accustomed to someone else. They have also given me the "pick of the litter", literally, the next time they have pups. So not a tragic day, but still sad.
In other news, I just got back from 2weeks in the dessert, I only have to go back out for 2days then I'm off again for 5 days for the 4july weekend. Just found out that there is a tattoo convention in el paso July 1-2. Looking forward to it. I may be helping some friends with their shop's booth.
