El Paso adventure4:

Well, just got back from spending a week in the desert. Hot days and cold nights but all in all a good time. work seems pretty unorganized, and we're paying the price for other peoples lack of planning. EX; "hey where do we get our food and water for the week from?", answer " I dont know, you'll have to figure it out"
REALLY!? ok gotcha... Im just say'n never leave someone like me to procure theyre own resources, you may not like my methods. wink
Even with all the WTF moments had some amazing times.

Early this morning hiked/ climed to more local peaks. One had a trail 3/4 up to the top, and there were a lot of people for how early it was, so i just jumped off the trail and took my own way. Encountered 2 rattle snakes on the way! aren't they supposed to rattle when you get close!? Cheat'n bastards! They were a little close for comfort. The other peak was supposed to be pretty in inaccessible because the trail only went as far as a box canyon. Come on people! have a little tatse for adventure! It only took a pretty easy 50' climb and youre on youre way. On the plus side, the difficult access and lack of trails makes it pretty isolated and therefore a nice climb. Unfourtunately, my boy was a little tired after the earlier hike and left after seeing the peak from the parking lot, and with him went my phone. So no summit pic just the parking lot, but I did sign the summit log, if you get up there look for boardbrad. biggrin

On the way out, stopped to climb around on a pretty cool rock near the parking lot. apparently youre not supposed to do that because there is some historical landmark on the other side. The helpful park ranger was more then happy to point that out to me on his way into work this morning. Sorry dude.

..and lastly to the rude salesman at the verizzon store who insisted that the entire city of El paso was out of Ipad2 becuse apple was behind, and that i would have to order/reserve one through him if i really wanted one...

tonguetongue !!!!FACE!!!! tonguetongue
...later on all, stay tuned...
