OK rant time.
1) I have 5 hats for work. Thats right 5!! It is possible for me to have to wear 4 of them at least once n a given day. Is it just me or is that a little ridiculous! One is a hat that is mine purely by the circumstance of my job, title and position. Another is pretty much a clown hat that was stolen from men of high caliber and truely deserving of the honor. The third is a helmet, that yes does do a good job of protection however there are plenty of better types out there and people go insane about when to wear it. foe example riding in a truck, REALLY?! Do i wear a helmet in my car? wil a helmet save me from a head on collision? Stupid. The other 2 are the only ones that make any sort of sense. However there coloring is completely foolish. So in that all sense is lost. whats really going on here?
2) So this evening I'm forced to attend a work function some end of summer bash. This event is great for families and married folks. The only reason I have to go is to be "welcomed" to the "family". Oh yeah hell of a welcome people, lets make the thirty yrold single guy come and endure the horror of our children. what else would he want to do on a SATURDAY NIGHT!!! thanx guys fuck you too. you know in my world here the younger single guys in lower positions are well taken care of and the programs for married couples and families are amazing. but where is the mechanism for guys and gals like me? senior positions, older and single? I have to suffer through the other two groups BS with nothing to gain. C'mon I dont really want to see you at work much less on my very slim "off time"
