So, as a way to prolong surgery in my feet I opted for a few cortisone injections yesterday in my toes. Basically, needs were stabbed down in between my toe bones and a mix of cortisone and lidocaine was pumped in. If the initial discomfort wasn't enough to make me wretch a couple hours later the local freezing wore off and since then I have been having some pretty intense discomfort, as well as being haunted by the image of a needle and syringe sticking out of my poor little toes 😢
