Thank you to everyone who commented on my set. I really do appreciate your leaving your thoughts on it
I'm a little sore today in my arms and upper back. I have been wanting to learn to spin poi forever and yesterday had the chance to a little of that. I practiced for a couple of hours and made pretty good progress. I like it a lot and am going to really love it when I have a good physical understanding of the movements. It's a lot of coordination to harness, thats for sure.
Saturday night I went to the Space Virgin fund raiser party. They had that place decked out so great. Con Works is a huge place, even with hundreds of people in it, it can look half empty. Miguel, Matt and I found the alcohol loop-hole when we realized jello shooters were only $1 and tasted like apple and watermelon Jolly Ranchers. I like to have a buzz but I don't really like alcohol very much at all. So that worked out pretty good.
I left there at 4am I guess and met up with an old friend who I haven't really seen or talked to for about 3 years. It was just like old times but different in a better way. He owned my heart for a long time.
Miguel and I are heading out to the Shambhala Music Festival in Canada, August 11-15th. I'm looking foward to it though it's going to be a crazy busy time when we get back with Burning Man just around the next corner. It's time to start sanding down the trike and thinking about art....
Oh yeah, and this Thursday Miguel's art will be up at theFenix Underground where soon he will also be designing a shadow dancing area for about 3 dancers.
So here are a few pictures from the Panache Fashion show from a little while back...man, that was the day I was covered with spirit gum glue from the Fremont Parade that would NOT come off. And then I layed down under a tree to get out of the sun and wait for my ride and when I got up the earth came up with me and then I was covered with glue AND dirt that would not come off! Ah, memories
