It was so hot today, I was flushed on my neck and chest just from sweeping the floor. I should do that more often. Sweep, not flush. Unless the flushing was due to erotic attention.
I went to the lake today with a gaggle of babies. Kiley, Jasmin and Jayeden. Not exactly babies but 2, 4, and 7 years old. That was fun. I saw my friend Javier who is the neatest South American hippy guy ever. He stays at home and takes care of his 5 kids while Sari, his wife works her midwifery job. Then for good metal/punk rock shows on some evenings, she watches the kids and he'll be there. They love their arrangement and they are great people. I love free spirits... It's the ideals I love.... attention to more simple truths like loving the earth and the people in it, the belief that life will take care of you if you take care of all life, care for animal and plants and environment, happiness and true persual of peaceful existence, relaxation, optimism, karma, spirituality, open minds....good energy, good smiles.
It was a nice day. Then we came home and I made this super great cous cous curry soup with tomatoes, zuchinni, bacon, rosemary, polenta and garbanzo beans in it. I love to makes soups but I never use a recipe. I'm like a mad concoctionist
Of course, little girls don't eat such things so I also made a pizza, definately not from scratch.
We put a little collar on the kitten today wihich drove him crazy for about 15 minutes but he's fine about it now. I guess what we have decided is that we'll take him out on a leash (one of those kind that pull way out and then suck back in again) so he can be outside. I know, the idea of a cat on a leash is completely messed up and ridiculous but this cat is not your usual cat and as he gets older somebody would be sure to steal him or just as easily he would run way too far away. So, this is our compromise. We'll see how it goes. I can't bear to keep a cat locked away indoors all the time though, that just seems so mean.
I sent my dad 2 DVD's so far. The first one is Winged Migration, which is so so so so so incredible and beautiful. I have a copy also and I knew he would love it, which he really did. Then I sent him Coldplay Live. I am so inspired all of the sudden to make sure he sees these things that have hit me so hard in one way or another. Next will be Spirited Away then Waking life. This makes me happy.

Thanks everyone who emails me such sweet compliments and fun little letters and to everyone who comments in my journal. I really love reading those.
Goodnight,

Hmm, methinks I might have seen that South American hippy guy at the lake with you just about one year ago. Some things never change.
