Get me outta the upper east side!!! 
One good thing was the Tim Hawkinson exhibit we saw at the Whitney Museum of Art today. Also really liked the Diane Arbus exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of art yesterday.
We ate a pickle today that weighed about a pound as we sat in the window of some little market and listened to these two ladies talk about bullshit and nothing...."Oh you must go to Starbucks b ecause it's KNOWN" and on and on about skin creams and Prince Charles and money and tea and CRAP. Ugh. And then Robert Redford walked by all clean shaven arm and arm with a woman of his age, suprisingly I guess. Why do all the little girls in this town wear mini skirts?? 10 year olds, 12 year olds!! what is with that?.
Joseph Arthur is playing tonight, who I love and now we are in Brooklyn. So much better in this area of town. What a relief, I was starting to feel like I was on that one horrible planet that I hate....Anyway, the show is at the Bowery Ballroom which Joel says is a good venue, sooooooo.
Beeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!!! The night has begun and I don't care that the beer is near warm. The rest are in the freezer, we are in a sweetass art loft and are in the company of a great man-cat named Lenny, Miguel's cousin Joel and his girl Jen.
