You see? My pool was greeeeeeeeen! This is what it looked like after 2 weeks of non-maintenance. Eriko and I got in there and drained most of it then scrubbed and scrubbed! Although it was disgusting it was really fun for some reason...leave it to us to enjoy a sick endeavor. Though the water was full of slimy algea and swimming microbes it was still a little pretty also! Weird.







Because we didn't want to immerse ourselves crotch level in the gross water, we drained most of it. This made it more difficult to clean however, so we ended up having to crawl under the caved in sides to hold it up with our bodies. We tried to hold it up with one hand and scrub with the other but it was really too heavy. We got it done in 2 hours and were troopers with a little help from Bloody Marys and promise of a group shower.







Now we have it inside out, washed, rinsed and draining over a couple of ladders. Next step after it dries will be to fold it up and store it for winter. I have realized how much work having a swimming pool is but it is so worth it when the sun comes out and you can just walk out your front door and take a swim

Here is Erika after she fell on her ass trying to click her heels together. She falls a lot. We're workin' on it!


Having an Elysian beer. I love the Elysian for lots of reasons...Miguel used to work there and introduced me to the place, the beer is really good and super potent and because my favorite bartender Jason works there.
