Oooooh man!! Today a bunch of friends and I pulled a broken down float all the way through the Fremont Parade! We were Trick Pony, complete with cowboy hats, Dolly Parton music, lassos and fresh horse poop. First the tire fell off and then the wheel crumpled into a pitiful pile of spokes with the underside of the float draggin. We drug that damn thing for so many blocks...a couple of nice guys helped us out for 3 blocks then dropped off and one of our friends ditched mid parade saying he had to get to his salon and do a foil!! The pretty red-clad belly dancing harem behind us were enamored for sure.
And Theeeen, my friend Brian was jumping up and down screaming "Dance! Dance!" at some religious nut holdinig a gigantic sign with the word SINNERS!!! and got arrested for assault when he bumped the guys shoulder. Sheesh!! He had my ID, my money and my car keys in his pockets cause I was wearing next to nothing so I had no choice but to head home and work on breaking him out of there. We called 2 bails bondsmen (bail was $950) who were working on it and were to call back but still never have. Luckily we just found out Brian was released.
Phew. So crazy. My feet are killing me! And to top it all off I put my big playa boots on on the wrong feet this morning, all laced up and racing out the door and didn't realize for 5 minutes that they were on the wrong feet!! I just kept thinking, 'wow, this things must have shrunk or something!'. Brilliance.
What a day, eh? And you know what else? I didn't even take any pictures!! But at least andnowmiguel did take some other pictures of Eriko and I a couple of days ago...here's just a few.
