Thanks everyone. The tears are drying and the sun has been nice today. Played on the slip and slide and am making artichokes.

Went to the Sasquatch Festival over the weekend. My favorite bands were The Shins and The Flaming Lips. Have you ever seen a Flaming Lips show? Incredible visuals, great sound and a message to the universe. It ruled again. Also really liked Bauhaus and Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah. Queens of the Stone age sucked in my opinion. I guess I didn't like having to look at the lead singer. Beck played last on Sunaday and Miguel and I fell asleep under a sleeping bag on the hill. The weather at the Gorge was SUPER windy with some rain. It even hailed buckets on Saturday and the hillside was slushy all night long. Last year it was so sunny but I guess the weather matched our moods this year. We almost didn't even go but couldn't face a long weekend at home and wanted to not dwell in our sad thoughts. I'm glad we went. I'm bummed I missed Iron and Wine though, we slept in every day.

Today we went to the animal shelter to look for a kitten. They only had big cats so we'll keep looking. There were many I would have loved to bring home but with 4 other adult cats at home, a baby wll be accepted with the least resistance.
