Poor King Kong!
Reminding my brain that he was just CG ape did nothing to stop my heartbreak. I'm such a softy for animals. Old Yeller and Where The Red Fern Grows used to do me in too. But you know, what they did to King Kong by taking him out of his natural environment and puting him on show is the same thing as what they do to the animals in the circus to this day. And then some poor elephant gets stressed out, mistreated and fucked over - escapes and goes on a rampage and people are outraged. Odiotic.
I just had the best macaroni and cheese at the Tin Hat in Ballard. As I was paying for our check, the bartender recognized me from LA on the Dwarves video. Turns out she is He Who Cannot Be Named's girlfriend. Small world.
I have started reading the Shipping News which has a really unusual and interesting writing style. I like it a lot. I'm even going to watch the movie tonight even though I'm only 1/4 through the book. I like it that much. It also won the pullitzer prize I believe.
Check out this line up for the Sasquatch Festival. We're set
