Columbus Day weekend on Cape Cod is the Last Hurrah for summer. This year, exceptional, several beach days and warm nights before winter's onslaught. If I go to Nauset Beach tom'w or Sunday, will I see you in a bikini? Probably only if I'm really lucky
Tangerine and Felina are such Beauties! How nice is it that they chose to share that with all of us?
HELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO OCTOBER!
Except for Tangerine, the latest crop provokes this: (YAWN).
I know I'm the only one here who remembers Tom Rush's song "The Urge for Going"; has anyone else much younger than me researched and listened to the song/tune? Very nice stuff.
Summer is drawing to a close
Irene was no lady, lots of bluster and energy; power outage was 48 hours but it could have been worse.
Waiting for the arrival of supposed "catastrophic" hurricane Irene. SO much hype and bullshit. But I guess that is the nature of journalism today. BEWARE!
Forgive me my recent post about a blue-sky road trip to the Blue Ridge. It just ain't gonna happen. Since I'm the primary caregiver for my parents, anything longer than a day-trip or an overnighter just isn't in the cards.
I'm thinking about a road trip from Cape Cod to the Blue Ridge area to find some local bluegrass music Mid-Sept. I don't want to travel alone; anyone interested? First major stop from Cape Cod (I think) would be Roanoke, then on to the Blue Ridge of NC. Share expenses though I'd cover all auto costs. Maybe a mix of B&B and camping.
