This is something I've been researching for a long while now but haven't told ANYONE until now.
And why I'm choosing to talk about this on SG first, yeah, not sure either....
But I've been researching adoptions, and moreso, single parent adoptions.
Now, this isnt something I'm going to do today or this month or anything but, yes, I am very serious about adopting a child.
I have gone as far as to set out a timetable of things I want to do before seeking out an adoption professional to assist me.
So far I've acomplished getting my business started and owning a home outright.
I have some lingering health issues that I want to get settled. I have about 4,000 in debt I want to pay off.
Its a laundry list of both little and big things I want to do for myself and for a child I'd bring into my life.
As many of you know, there has been talk about my being infertile since I was about 16 and with a miscarriage 2 years later and some other events in the last year, it has been pretty much confirmed.
I can not have a child in the traditional way.
And being a mother is something I have wanted consistantly for a long long while. And its something I want so much that I am willing to give up some things that I do not think would be 100% beneficial to being a mother.
With what I have set to do, I am looking at completing the adoption by age 30.
