So, today was our first burlesque rehersal in awhile. We have a show saturday at 10:30 pm. Tickets available now at http://www.bigstarburlesque.com *cough*
ANYWHO,
Rehearsal. 8pm. Instead of yesterday because everyone was all "oh no, stupid jew! It's the day that jesus rose from the dead and brought us all chocolate bunnies!" or whatever so I moved it to today.
I expected 6 of us. Myself, our MC, and 3 other dancers, Katie, Michael and Cassandra. We have another girl, Kim, who is sort of our stagehand and assistant to the MC who should have been there but she let me know ahead of time that she wouldnt make it.
So, I get there early and have brian get there early so I can go over stuff with him one on one. Katie has already told me she wont be there til 8:30 but she comes in at about 8:15.
And then its 8:20 and the MC, katie and I are still the only ones there. I call Michael and Cassandra. No answer. Katie says "oh! I talked to cassandra today. She wont be here".
Michael? Still no where to be found.
And we have a show. Saturday. 10:30. Tickets on sale now...oh...i already mentioned that.
I had been dreading this rehearsal all day because this was going to be the final "ok, ya'll. I don't know if you thought I was kidding when I said I need more help with all the stuff that has to get done to make the show go on, like promotion and printing and updating the website and for fucks sake get your own eyelash glue and stop acting surprised when I don't have enough at a show for you. I'm not fuckin CVS, ok?" talk.
I was all puffed up going into tonight. And I didn't get to unload on the folks I needed to.
Fuck shit fuck.
