SxSW Music: Friday
Left work around 1. made it to the downtown area about half an hour later. Parked at my friend courtney's house and took the bus south a bit down congress. Heard a bit of the Bloodshot Records showcase, then took the bus back up north to go to the High Times party.
Met up with volivershagnasty, who had called me at 3 am that morning to tell me about seeing Tom Morello, Wayne Kramer, Perry Farrell, Slash and Les Claypool all on the same stage. What was I doing at 3am ? Watching a rerun of xfiles.
So, we meet up and watch the White Ghost Shivers then I head to get some pizza and then see Public Enemy. PE were way late so I only saw 2 songs then went to Stubbs to see Andrew Bird. Who makes me happy cry. And I did.
After that, we all met up again to "see" Peaches. Well, if there werent 83 million douchnozzles standing ON THE STAIRCASE, we may ahve been able to see her. But good time had by all and I'm glad to be home, and the proud owner of a 2007 SxSW wristband.
Tomorrow: Iggy and the Stooges
