I got up this morning around 7 to make it to the capitol for Ann Richards.
I met up with my friend Genevive a few blocks away and we walked with eachother onto the capitol grounds. We made jokes with each step. It's how we both deal with stuff.
There was already a decent sized crowd when we arrived. We found our friend Paul as well as some people Gen knew. We each told our stories about being there for her innauguration over 15 years ago.
They carried the casket in around 8:30. Bill Clinton spoke at a private ceremony and then we were allowed in just before 9:30.
