So, last night I got to host the Tom Waits hoot night at Trophys . I really do think I did a pretty awesome job.

I wasnt sure what sort of crowd we would draw if we would have one at all, but half an hour before the first act went on, the place was packed.

So I spend the night introducing bands, making witty banter with the audience and somehow convincing people to tip the bands and tip BIG. some guy said he would tip a twenty if he could see my stocking tattoos on the back of my legs. See, the thing I do for local musicians!

At some point, to kill time, I said I would buy a beer for the first person who could come up and show me a tom waits related tattoo. A woman yelled to the stage that her friend had one and I told her to go get him.

And he walks up.

And asks if my name is Stephanie

I tell him yes

"stephanie stone?"

I take a step back and answer yes.

"We used to know eachother. Its me, Casey"

we did indeed "know" eachother. It stopped when I decided to marry my now ex husband.

And I ask to see his tattoo.

And it is a "Blue Valentine" tattoo, not too unlike mine.

I think that means something.
